Richard, as you know I have recently been following your great work. So nice to see real B&W images. Your iPad app works very well and simply shows your images, which is great and exactly what it should do.

New York City street photographer Richard Sandler was handed a Leica in 1977, a simple action that changed the vector of his life. He began photographing the streets of New York, tapping into the pulse of the 80s. “You are recording your time,” says Sandler. “You are looking for trends. If you are in the street, you see it. You see everything on the street.” From his 5th avenue furs to the graffiti strewn subways, Sandler brings the grit and the glamor of the Reagan era to the surface.

The iPad app features 136 black-and-white plates from 1977 to 2000, photographed by Richard Sandler in New York City and Boston. The app also features a 360° Pano VR view of Richard’s Leica M2, an audio interview and a teaser to his documentary “The Gods of Times Square”.

Additional formats for smartphones and desktop computers will follow soon – stay tuned! Release date tba.
